AIGA Kansas City offers a forum for design students and professionals to generate a discourse. Students learn immeasurably through contact with design professionals. And practicing designers benefit from the vitality and enthusiasm of students. It is our hope to connect these two dynamic groups in chapter events, competitions, discussion and portfolio reviews. AIGA offers an opportunity for young designers to understand the profession, find inspiration towards design excellence, and meet the mentors they will work with in the future.
There are now four student groups in the Kansas City metro area
(Johnson County Community College, Kansas City Art Institute, Park
University, and University of Kansas), as well as one regional group
(Kansas State University). This organization, and website should be a
place to share ideas and inspiration. Please contact us with any
initiatives you may want to share, in an effort to develop our
community of graphic design students and professionals.
